I decided to mix between the use of a 12-megapixel camera and a 3-megapixel camera as I was really inspired by Loyle Carner's 'Ottolenghi' music video and at the same time I wanted it to be clear that it is set today. The iPhone was extremely easy to use, we shot the scenes with the "cinema mode" the iPhone offers which focuses on the people and makes the lighting concentrate on the actors instead of the background. The video camera was a lot more troublesome since it's analogic, however, more details on that are in filming difficulties post, here.
The video camera used a Mini DV reader and recorded the video in the film, it had a mini screen that showed what was being recorded and not much more due to its age. The Mini DV tapes only provided 60 minutes of recording time so we had to carry several with us and later record what was on them in my computer due to the analogic nature.
